Bronze is an alloy that consists primarily of copper, and thus, it exhibits many of the same characteristics of copper, like malleability, durability and ductility. In the wire mesh industry, commercial bronze wire mesh is the alloy commonly available from stock or through custom manufacturing. Typically, commercial bronze wire mesh has a material chemical composition of: 90% Copper, 10% Zinc.
The medium wire mesh specifications featured here range in opening size from approximately 1/16” to 1/64” and represent some of the more common bronze wire mesh specifications that industrial customers request. These items are available from stock or can be custom manufactured, depending upon the customer’s requirements. Bronze mesh is popular in a wide array of general industrial applications, including filtration and marine use.
Also, due to its metallic brownish red color, bronze mesh is used in decorative, architectural and even artistic applications, including insect screen, chandeliers, room dividers, decorative glass inlays and sculptures.
