T-316 stainless steel wire mesh is typically considered an alternative grade to T-304 stainless steel wire mesh and preferred in certain circumstances. These fine and ultra-fine wire mesh specifications have a cloth-like characteristic to them, but they also have the same durability and corrosion resistance found in the coarser stainless steel wire meshes.
Often times, these specifications are reserved for high performance used in industries, like aerospace, science research and special technologies. These items, especially the more common standard or market grades, are available from stock in full 100FT rolls. These rolls can be cut down to size, particularly if the mesh is part of a fabricate assembly. The common thread among all of these uses is that T-316 stainless steel is often preferred when a higher level of corrosion resistance is needed, compared to T-304 stainless steel.
